Top 5 Best Thai BL Dramas (One Additional)

Top 5 best Thai BL dramas cover with The Edge of Horizon, Love Destiny, My Golden Blood, ThamePo, Khemjira and Me and Thee

Looking for the best Thai BL dramas to watch next? I’ve been there, scrolling for an hour, opening ten trailers and then rewatching an old favourite because I couldn’t decide. So I made it easy for both of us.

These are my top 5 Thai BL dramas from 2024 to 2026, plus one bonus show I simply couldn’t leave out. So honestly, it’s my top 6 Thai BL dramas list in disguise. I’ve watched every single one of them. Some made me cry, one made me angry at the ending, and a couple of them took over my whole weekend.

I’ve kept this mostly spoiler-free. For each drama you’ll get a quick details box, what the story is about, why it made my list, and where to watch it legally.

How I picked these best Thai BL dramas

I didn’t pick these because they were trending. I picked them because they stayed in my head after the last episode. My simple rules:

  • The couple has to feel real. If I don’t believe the chemistry, nothing else matters.
  • The story has to go somewhere. Pretty scenes are nice, but I want a reason to press “next episode”.
  • It has to be a little different. Royal history, vampires, ghosts, a boy band, a mafia heir. Every show on this list has its own world.

The ranking is just my heart talking. Your number one might be my number five, and that’s the fun of it.

1. The Edge of Horizon (2026): a royal love story in 1932 Siam

The Edge of Horizon 2026 Thai BL drama poster with Phob and Prince Tin
Image: The Edge of Horizon (One 31 / OneD)
Details
Thai title: อรุณรุ่ง (Arun Rung, “Breaking Dawn”)
Main cast: Jakkrasin Atsavatanachai (Inn) as Phob, Theethuch Khummuang (Ongsa) as Prince Tinnakorn (Tin)
Episodes: 11
Aired: 20 Jun 2026 to 29 Aug 2026, Saturdays
Channel: One 31, uncut on the OneD app
Genres: Historical, Romance, BL
Director: Kathadeb Thaivanit

This is my number one, and it isn’t even close. The Edge of Horizon is set in 1932, during the Siamese revolution of 1932, when the whole country was changing. Phob is a commoner with nothing but his dignity. Tin is a prince carrying the weight of his royal family. They come from opposite ends of society, and the story never lets you forget it.

What I love is that the history isn’t just a pretty background. The political change outside slowly presses on the love story inside. Every time they get closer, the world reminds them of who they’re supposed to be. That push and pull is what kept me glued to it.

Ongsa also sings the opening song, “First Light”. After a few episodes, that song alone was enough to make me emotional. If you liked serious, slow-burn love stories with high stakes, start here.

Watch it if you like: historical drama, class differences, slow burn, a love that has to fight for its place. You can read more about the series on its Wikipedia page.

Before you start: give it two or three episodes. The first episodes set up the history and the politics, and the romance builds slowly after that. Keep tissues close for the last few episodes. I needed them.

2. Love Destiny (2026): the time-travel romance with the ending I still can’t accept

Details
Main cast: August Vachiravit as Dech, Leng Thanaphon as Gaew / Great
Episodes: 10
Aired: 14 Jul 2026 to 15 Sep 2026, Tuesdays
Channel: Channel 3, uncut on iQIYI
Genres: Historical, Comedy, Romance, Fantasy
Director: Phawat Panangkasiri

A modern surgeon’s soul lands in the body of a hated troublemaker in old Ayutthaya, and slowly wins over the man who hated him most. It’s a BL remake of the huge 2018 Love Destiny, and honestly, it was my favourite show for most of its run. The main hero is so handsome it should be illegal.

So why is it number two and not number one? The ending. It’s open, Dech never truly believes Great came from the future, and he never once calls him by his real name. I wrote a whole post about it, so if you’ve finished the show, read why the Love Destiny BL ending broke my heart.

Watch it if you like: time travel, enemies to lovers, beautiful costumes, and you don’t mind an open ending.

Before you start: the comedy is strong in the first half, so don’t judge the show by episode 1 alone. The emotional part arrives later, and that’s when it really pulled me in.

3. My Golden Blood (2025): the vampire BL that made me nervous every episode

Details
Thai title: เลือดนายลมหายใจฉัน
Main cast: Joss Way-ar Sangngern as Mark, Gawin Caskey as Tong
Episodes: 12
Year: 2025
Channel: GMM 25
Genres: Fantasy, Romance, BL
Studio: GMMTV and Matching Max Solutions

Mark is a vampire who has been looking for a reason to exist for decades. Then he meets Tong, a boy with rare, golden blood that every vampire wants. So Mark has a double job: protect Tong from the others, and fight his own hunger at the same time.

That tension is the whole charm. Every soft moment between them has a little danger hiding behind it. Joss and Gawin are a pairing a lot of fans had waited for, and you can see why. The show is based on a Thai novel, and you can check the full cast on Wikipedia.

Watch it if you like: vampires, protective love, a bit of danger, and a lot of longing looks.

Before you start: it’s not a horror show, but there’s a little blood and some tense chase scenes. If you’re fine with that, the romance is soft and protective in a way that’s hard to resist.

4. ThamePo: Heart That Skips a Beat (2024): boy band life, friendship and first love

ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat Thai BL poster with Thame and Po
Image: ThamePo (GMMTV / Parbdee Taweesuk)
Details
Thai title: เธมโป้
Main cast: William Jakrapatr as Thame, Est Supha as Po, with the LYKN boy band
Episodes: 13
Aired: 13 Dec 2024 to 7 Mar 2025
Channel: GMM 25, Netflix and YouTube
Genres: Romance, BL
Director: Aticha Tanthanawigrai

Po gets a job filming MARS, a boy band about to play its very last show before breaking up. Along the way, he becomes the person Thame, the band’s leader, trusts the most. And Thame is about to leave for a solo debut in South Korea, so the clock is ticking from day one.

What makes this one special is that the real Thai boy band LYKN plays the band, so the stage scenes feel real. It’s not only a love story. It’s also about friends who are scared of growing apart. If you’ve ever loved a band, you’ll feel this one.

Est and William became one of my favourite pairs because of this show. Their chemistry as Po and Thame is so natural that I actually went looking for their next project the moment it ended.

Watch it if you like: music, idols, friendship drama, a sweet first love. It’s on Netflix, so it’s one of the easiest shows on this list to find.

Before you start: there are a lot of characters at first, because the whole band gets its own story. Don’t worry about remembering every name. By episode three, you’ll know them all and have a favourite.

5. Khemjira (2025): a curse, a shaman and a love that might save a life

Khemjira Thai BL drama poster with Pharan the shaman
Image: Khemjira (Domundi TV / One 31)
Details
Thai title: เขมจิราต้องรอด (Khemjira Must Survive)
Main cast: Namping Napatsakorn as Khemjira, Keng Harit as Pharan
Episodes: 12
Aired: 9 Aug 2025 to 25 Oct 2025, Saturdays
Channel: One 31, uncut on iQIYI
Genres: Supernatural, Romance, BL
Studio: Domundi TV

Khemjira is 20 and carries a family curse: the sons die before they turn 21. Ghosts start coming for him as his birthday gets closer. His best friend takes him to Ubon Ratchathani to find Pharan, a young white magic shaman who doesn’t really want to help at first.

This one is spooky and romantic at the same time, which is a mix I didn’t know I needed. The local culture, the Isan language and the shaman world make it feel completely different from city romances. And the bond between Khemjira and Pharan grows in a way that feels like fate.

Good news for fans: a four-episode special called Khemjira Forever started on 31 October 2026. So if you finish the series and miss them, there’s more waiting.

Watch it if you like: ghosts, Thai folklore, protective love, and stories where love literally fights fate.

Before you start: this one has jump scares and some scary ghost scenes. Watch it with the lights on if you’re easily scared. The romance makes up for every fright.

Bonus: Me and Thee (2025), the rom-com I couldn’t leave out

Me and Thee Thai BL drama with Thee and Peach in a garden
Image: Me and Thee (GMMTV / Gemmistry Studio)
Details
Thai title: มีสติหน่อยคุณธีร์
Main cast: Pond Naravit as Thee, Phuwin Tangsakyuen as Peach
Episodes: 10
Aired: 15 Nov 2025 to 17 Jan 2026, Saturdays
Channel: GMM 25, iQIYI and YouTube
Genres: Romantic comedy, BL
Director: Nuttapong Mongkolsawas

After all that history, vampires and ghosts, you need something light, and Me and Thee is exactly that. Thee grew up in a family with a dangerous mafia past, but now he just wants to sell perfume and live a clean life. He falls for a model and asks Peach, a quiet photographer, to be his love coach. You can guess where that goes.

Here’s my honest confession: the main couple is Pond Naravit Lertratkosum and Phuwin Tangsakyuen, but that’s not why I pressed play. I watched Me and Thee because of Est Supha Sangaworawong and William Jakrapatr Kaewpanpong. I loved them so much as Po and Thame in ThamePo that I just wanted to see them on my screen again. If you finish ThamePo and feel the same empty feeling, this is a happy way to fill it.

It’s funny, fast and very easy to binge. Pond and Phuwin have that comfortable chemistry that makes even silly scenes feel warm. And there’s a sequel, Peach and Me, already announced, so this story isn’t over yet.

Watch it if you like: rom-coms, fake dating style plots, rich hero and shy hero, and lots of laughing.

Before you start: don’t expect a deep, dark drama. Expect a fun, glossy rom-com you can finish in a weekend, and you’ll love it.

Why Thai BL dramas are so popular right now

A few years ago, finding good boys’ love shows meant digging through tiny fan pages. Now Thai studios release dozens every year, and many of the best Thai BL dramas are on big platforms like Netflix and iQIYI. So what changed?

For me, it’s three things. First, the stories got bigger. We now have royal history, vampires, curses and boy bands, not only campus romances. Second, the production looks expensive. Costumes, sets and music are on a different level from older shows. Third, the actors have huge fan bases who follow them from show to show, so every new pairing feels like an event.

There’s also the warmth. Thai BL often mixes romance with family, friendship and comedy, so even sad shows have moments that make you smile. That mix is what keeps me coming back every season. If you want to understand the genre better, this overview of boys’ love explains where it all started.

Tips for watching Thai BL dramas for the first time

If you’re new, these small things will make your first Thai BL much more fun:

  • Check which version you’re watching. Many shows air a TV version and an “uncut” version on a streaming app. The uncut one usually has extra scenes, so pick the one you’re comfortable with.
  • Use the official subtitles. Fan-made subtitles on random sites are often wrong or late. Official apps add English subtitles quickly now.
  • Don’t skip the opening songs. Thai BL soundtracks are famous for a reason, and the leads often sing them.
  • Watch the behind-the-scenes clips. Studios post them on their official YouTube channels, and they make you love the cast even more.
  • Pace yourself. Binging is fun, but a weekly show gives you time to guess what happens next with other fans.

Questions people ask me about Thai BL dramas

Is this a top 5 or a top 6 list?

Both, really. I started with my top 5 Thai BL dramas, then Me and Thee refused to leave my head, so it became a bonus number six. If you were searching for the top 6 Thai BL dramas, you’re in the right place too.

Which of these is best for a total beginner?

Me and Thee or ThamePo. Both are easy to follow, not too heavy, and available on big platforms. Start there, then move to the deeper ones.

Which one is the most emotional?

The Edge of Horizon, without a doubt. Love Destiny comes second, mostly because of that ending.

Are these dramas long?

Not really. They have 10 to 13 episodes each, usually around 45 to 60 minutes. You can finish most of them in one or two weekends.

Can I watch these with family?

It depends on the version. The TV versions are usually softer, while some uncut versions are rated for adults (Love Destiny’s uncut version is marked 18+, for example). If you’re watching with family, pick the regular TV version and check the rating on the app first.

Which one has the best soundtrack?

For me, The Edge of Horizon, because Ongsa sings “First Light” himself. ThamePo is a close second, since the real boy band LYKN performs in the show.

Do I need to watch them in order?

No. Every show on this list is a separate story, so you can start anywhere. Just pick the mood you’re in today.

My top 6 Thai BL dramas at a glance

Here’s the whole list in one place, so you can pick by mood:

Pick by mood
Want history and heartbreak: The Edge of Horizon
Want time travel and comedy: Love Destiny
Want danger and longing: My Golden Blood
Want music and first love: ThamePo: Heart That Skips a Beat
Want ghosts and fate: Khemjira
Want to laugh: Me and Thee

Where to watch these Thai BL dramas legally

Every show here is on an official platform, so please skip the random free sites. They’re illegal, full of scam ads, and your views there don’t help the actors or the studio make more shows.

  • The Edge of Horizon: One 31 and the OneD app (also GagaOOLala and Line TV in some countries)
  • Love Destiny: Channel 3 and iQIYI
  • My Golden Blood: GMM 25 and GMMTV’s official channels
  • ThamePo: GMM 25, Netflix and YouTube
  • Khemjira: One 31 and iQIYI
  • Me and Thee: GMM 25, iQIYI and YouTube

One I’m watching right now: Fool in Love

I couldn’t put Fool in Love on this list yet, because I’m still in the middle of it. It started in early October 2026 on iQIYI, it’s based on a Chinese web novel, and it’s the first time Ing and Yok play a couple together. So far I’m enjoying it, but I’ve learned my lesson with endings. I’ll judge it only after the last episode. If it lands well, it might push one of these shows off my list of the best Thai BL dramas next year.

What I want from Thai BL dramas next year

Watching all of these back to back made me notice a few things I’d love to see more of. First, clear endings. Open endings can be beautiful, but after 10 episodes of waiting, fans deserve to know what happens. Second, more special episodes. Khemjira got a four-episode special, and I really hope other studios follow that idea.

Third, more stories from outside Bangkok. Khemjira showed how fresh a show feels when it brings in local culture and language. And finally, more history. The Edge of Horizon proved that a love story set in a real moment of Thai history can hit harder than any modern romance. If next year brings even two shows like that, my list of the best Thai BL dramas is going to get very hard to make.

My final thoughts on the best Thai BL dramas right now

That’s my top 5, or top 6 if you count the bonus. If you only have time for one, watch The Edge of Horizon. If you want something lighter, go straight to Me and Thee. And if you’re brave enough for an open ending, Love Destiny will steal your heart and then break it a little.

Thai BL keeps getting better every year. Bigger stories, braver ideas, and actors who really commit. I’m already watching Fool in Love now, so expect more posts in the BL Dramas section soon.
